Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about Cyber Shield.

Do I need to install anything?
Yes, a lightweight Wazuh agent is installed on every device and server. The agent uses very few resources (under 50 MB of RAM) and runs in the background without affecting performance. Installation is carried out by our teams.
Is Cyber Shield compatible with our antivirus?
Yes, Cyber Shield is fully complementary to your antivirus. The Wazuh agent does not replace your antivirus but adds an extra layer of detection (behavioural analysis, event correlation, anomaly detection) that antivirus alone does not cover.
What's the difference with an antivirus?
Antivirus detects malware known by signature. The Cyber Shield SOC detects advanced threats antivirus doesn't see: lateral movement, privilege escalation, data exfiltration, account compromise, zero-day attacks. It's the difference between a security guard and a monitoring centre.
How long does deployment take?
Allow 1 to 2 weeks for a full deployment. This includes installing Wazuh agents on all devices and servers, configuring detection rules suited to your environment, and a tuning phase to reduce false positives.
What happens when there's an alert?
Our SOC team analyses the alert and contacts you within the timeframe set out in your contract, based on severity. A detailed incident report is provided along with recommended corrective actions. For Silver and Gold plans, our team can act directly on your infrastructure.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Yes, the minimum commitment is 12 months. This period is needed to cover installation, initial rule configuration, the tuning phase and ongoing detection optimisation. After the first year, the contract renews annually.
